About Us

gregstevens.jpgGregory W. Stevens serves the legal needs of individual and business clients in a variety of substantive areas, with an emphasis on civil litigation and criminal defense. Mr. Stevens has the experience, education, and tenacity to provide effective and zealous representation of the very highest quality. He also offers a high level of responsiveness, treating each matter with close personal attention, that a larger firm would likely find it difficult or impossible to match. When you retain Mr. Stevens, you can be assured that he will be the attorney handling your case, not an associate with limited or no experience, not a paralegal or legal assistant, and not some affiliated attorney or law firm in a completely different office. By handling litigation and criminal defense matters from beginning to end, Mr. Stevens gains a thorough understanding of cases that is lost to attorneys who may pass off important tasks to others. He thrives on hard work to help you resolve your problem. Additionally, because Mr. Stevens is able to draw upon a wealth of litigation experience in a variety of substantive areas, he brings a perspective and vision to cases that attorneys who focus on one narrow area may lack. Finally, as a solo practitioner, Mr. Stevens eliminates the pyramid compensation scheme and high cost of overhead that make higher fees essential to the operation of larger firms. Keeping his own operations lean and cost-effective, Mr. Stevens is able to offer rates in matters for which he charges an hourly fee that are below market rates for attorneys with comparable experience and ability.

Mr. Stevens is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Utah State Bar.

Listed in Utah Business Magazine as one of the 2006 Legal Elite in the Practice Area of Civil Trial Work. The Legal Elite reflect the results of votes by peers among the Utah State Bar responding to a request by the Magazine to vote for peers whom they believe to be the State's top lawyers. Bar members were encouraged by Utah Business Magazine to vote for lawyers whose work they have observed firsthand and whose services they would recommend to others.
